Working in one of these positions will see you collaborating with a Crew Leader to perform maintenance on Council's park infrastructure. Your duties will involve general labouring tasks associated with landscape construction and the upkeep of park facilities which may include using hand and power tools, concrete work and some excavator operation (if you are trained/licenced).
You'll be involved with maintaining various types of infrastructure including:
- Playgrounds
- Park furniture
- Shelters
- Shade sails
- Exercise equipment
- Fences
- Bollards
- Barbeques
- Retaining walls
Please note - safety is a top priority for our organisation. We are looking for candidates who not only possess the knowledge and physical capacity to safely perform the manual tasks required for this role, but also have a genuine commitment to fostering a positive safety culture.

About you
Ideally your application will demonstrate recent hands on experience in a position maintaining similar infrastructure. You'll also have strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team and adaptability to various technology solutions as needed for this position.
Paired with the above mentioned skills and experience we'll need you to hold:
- a current truck licence (minimum MR - medium rigid)
- a Construction Induction card - or be willing to obtain prior to commencement
- Certification in the operation of an excavator (LE) - not essential, only desirable
