  • Current permanent team members are welcome to apply to be considered for this role and if successful will maintain their permanent tenure.
  • $123,568pa + 12% super
    Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 8 of EBA5
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.

Join our team as the Principal Governance and Integrity Business Partner, where you’ll be instrumental in enhancing Council’s commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability in every facet of our operations.

About the role

As our Principal Governance and Integrity Business Partner, you will lead the Council’s complaint management framework and governance programs, embedding integrity and continuous improvement at the core of our daily operations. This key role involves working collaboratively with leaders and teams across the organisation to promote sound governance practices, ensure compliance, and deliver robust coaching and advice to uplift Council’s capability in complaint handling and governance integration.

About you

To excel in this role, you will have:

  • Qualifications: A degree in Governance, Public Policy, Public Administration, Law or a related field.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in governance, compliance, and/or complaint management, ideally within a government or large organisational setting.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a talent for identifying process improvements and coaching teams to high performance.
  • Interpersonal abilities: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and influence at all levels.
  • Commitment: A passion for promoting ethical, transparent, and accountable practices across the orgiani
